Honestly, Queens Of The Stone Age are only as important that the established legacy of Kyuss that they broke free of thanks to Josh Homme being such a dynamic front man.
And don’t get me wrong.
I LIKE The Needle Drop. A Lot. It’s an entertaining show, Anthony is very informative, and very fun to watch, but seriously, dude, how many fucking times are you going to keep comparing TDEP to Mike Patton (or any of his affiliated projects) or for that matter Trent Reznor? Come on man, can’t you see past the obvious on this one?
This band has grown beyond anything people have thought what they could be and prove once and for all that they’re much more than the sum of their parts instead of just farting out “43% Burnt” soundalikes ad nauseam.
Come on man. Come on.
I have an idea.
Any time Anthony Fantano mentions either Mike Patton, Faith No More, or Mr. Bungle in his review for One Of Us Is The Killer we all take shots of jack daniels. I guarantee you, within the like, 10 minutes he’s talking, we’ll all be extremely drunk.
Seriously, if you haven’t seen it, (and no offense to that dude, he does seem nice) go to YouTube or his website and just watch how many fucking times he name drops Patton, or Patton related projects. My god. DILLINGER ARE MORE THAN JUST MIKE PATTON FANBOYS!Let, it, go.
They did ONE EP with Mike back in 2002. That’s 11 years ago. Move on. They have, why can’t everyone else?
